For the cherubimspread[their] wingsoverthe placeof the ark,and the cherubimmadea coveringoverthe arkand its polesfrom above.
He placedthe cherubimin the midstof the innerhouse,and the wingsof the cherubimwere spreadout, so that the wingof the onewas touchingthe [one] wall,and the wingof the othercherubwas touchingthe otherwall.So their wingswere touchingeachotherin the centerof the house.
Then the priestsbroughtthe arkof the covenantof the LORDto its place,into the innersanctuaryof the house,to the mostholyplace,underthe wingsof the cherubim.
But the poleswere so longthat the endsof the polescould be seenfrom the holyplace beforethe innersanctuary,but they could not be seenoutside;they are thereto thisday.
"The cherubimshall have[their] wingsspreadupward,coveringthe mercyseatwith their wingsand facingoneanother;the facesof the cherubimare to be [turned] towardthe mercyseat.
SeraphimstoodaboveHim, eachhaving sixwings:with twohe coveredhis face,and with twohe coveredhis feet,and with twohe flew.
and they shall laya coveringof porpoiseskinon it, and shall spreadover[it] a clothof pureblue,and shall insertits poles.
and aboveit [were] the cherubimof gloryovershadowingthe mercy seat;but of these thingswe cannotnowspeakin detail.
