"And I have devouredthem and shatteredthem, so that they did not rise;And they fellundermy feet.
"Goand sayto My servantDavid,'Thussaysthe LORD,"Are you the one who should buildMe a houseto dwellin?
The house,while it was being built,was builtof stonepreparedat the quarry,and there was neitherhammernoraxenoranyirontoolheardin the housewhile it was being built.
Allthesewere of costlystones,of stonecutaccording to measure,sawedwith saws,insideand outside;even from the foundationto the coping,and so on the outsideto the greatcourt.
So Davidgaveordersto gatherthe foreignerswhowere in the landof Israel,and he setstonecuttersto hewout stonesto buildthe houseof God.
"But the wordof the LORDcameto me, saying,You have shedmuchbloodand have wagedgreatwars;you shall not builda houseto My name,becauseyou have shed[so] muchbloodon the earthbeforeMe.
Thereforethussaysthe LordGOD,"Behold,I am layingin Ziona stone,a testedstone,A costlycornerstone[for] the foundation,firmlyplaced.He who believes[in it] will not be disturbed.
