Then the wordof the LORDcameto Elijahthe Tishbite,saying,
When Ahabheardthat Nabothwas dead,Ahabaroseto godownto the vineyardof Naboththe Jezreelite,to takepossessionof it.
"Arise,godownto meetAhabkingof Israel,whois in Samaria;behold,he is in the vineyardof Nabothwherehe has gonedownto takepossessionof it.
But the angelof the LORDsaidto Elijahthe Tishbite,"Arise,goup to meetthe messengersof the kingof Samariaand sayto them, 'Is it becausethereis noGodin Israel[that] you are goingto inquireof Baal-zebub,the godof Ekron?'
Then he saidto him, "Did not my heartgo[with you], whenthe manturnedfrom his chariotto meetyou? Is it a timeto receivemoneyand to receiveclothesand olivegrovesand vineyardsand sheepand oxenand maleand femaleservants?
For He who requiresbloodremembersthem; He does not forgetthe cryof the afflicted.
For behold,the LORDis about to comeout from His placeTo punishthe inhabitantsof the earthfor their iniquity;And the earthwill revealher bloodshedAnd will nolongercoverher slain.
