So Ben-hadadlistenedto KingAsaand sentthe commandersof his armiesagainstthe citiesof Israel,and conqueredIjon,Dan,Abel-beth-maacahand allChinneroth,besidesallthe landof Naphtali.
When Abramheardthat his relativehad been takencaptive,he ledout his trainedmen,bornin his house,threehundredand eighteen,and wentin pursuitas faras Dan.
He setonein Bethel,and the otherhe putin Dan.
Now Ben-hadadkingof Aramgatheredallhis army,and there [were] thirty-twokingswith him, and horsesand chariots.And he wentup and besiegedSamariaand foughtagainst it.
[Ben-hadad] saidto him, "The citieswhichmy fathertookfrom your fatherI will restore,and you shall makestreetsfor yourself in Damascus,as my fathermadein Samaria."[Ahab said], "And I will letyou gowith this covenant."So he madea covenantwith him and lethim go.

and the Arabahas faras the Seaof Chinnerothtoward the east,and as faras the seaof the Arabah,[even] the SaltSea,eastwardtowardBeth-jeshimoth,and on the south,at the footof the slopesof Pisgah;
This[was] the inheritanceof the tribeof the sonsof Naphtaliaccording to their families,the citieswith their villages.
They calledthe nameof the cityDan,after the nameof Dantheir fatherwhowas bornin Israel;however,the nameof the cityformerlywas Laish.
