Now the LORDhad saidto Ahijah,"Behold,the wifeof Jeroboamis comingto inquireof you concerningher son,for he is sick.You shall saythusand thusto her, for it will be when she arrivesthat she will pretendto be anotherwoman."
So Joabsentto Tekoaand broughta wisewomanfrom thereand saidto her, "Pleasepretendto be a mourner,and puton mourninggarmentsnow,and do not anointyourself with oil,but be like a womanwho has been mourningfor the deadmanydays;
When Ahijahheardthe soundof her feetcomingin the doorway,he said,"Comein, wifeof Jeroboam,whydo you pretendto be anotherwoman?For I am sentto you [with] a harsh[message].
When she cameto the manof Godto the hill,she caughtholdof his feet.And Gehazicamenearto pushher away;but the manof Godsaid,"Lether alone,for her soulis troubledwithin her; and the LORDhas hiddenit from me and has not toldme."
Thereis nowisdomand nounderstandingAnd nocounselagainstthe LORD.
Surelythe LordGODdoesnothingUnlessHe revealsHis secretcounselTo His servantsthe prophets.
