He laidhis bodyin his own grave,and they mournedoverhim, [saying], "Alas,my brother!"
So the prophettookup the bodyof the manof Godand laidit on the donkeyand broughtit back,and he cameto the cityof the oldprophetto mournand to buryhim.
"AllIsraelshall mournfor him and buryhim, for he aloneof Jeroboam's[family] will cometo the grave,becausein him somethinggoodwas foundtowardthe LORDGodof Israelin the houseof Jeroboam.
Then he said,"Whatis thismonumentthat I see?"And the menof the citytoldhim, "It is the graveof the manof Godwhocamefrom Judahand proclaimedthesethingswhichyou have doneagainstthe altarof Bethel."
Thereforethussaysthe LORDin regardto Jehoiakimthe sonof Josiah,kingof Judah,"They will not lamentfor him: 'Alas,my brother!'or, 'Alas,sister!'They will not lamentfor him: 'Alasfor the master!'or, 'Alasfor his splendor!'
