But when Hadadheardin Egyptthat Davidsleptwith his fathersand that Joabthe commanderof the armywas dead,Hadadsaidto Pharaoh,"Sendme away,that I may goto my own country."
So he senthis brothersaway,and as they departed,he saidto them, "Do not quarrelon the journey."
Abnersaidto David,"Let me ariseand goand gatherallIsraelto my lordthe king,that they may makea covenantwith you, and that you may be kingover allthat your souldesires."So DavidsentAbneraway,and he wentin peace.
The sisterof Tahpenesborehis sonGenubath,whom Tahpenesweanedin Pharaoh'shouse;and Genubathwas in Pharaoh'shouseamongthe sonsof Pharaoh.
Then Pharaohsaidto him, "But whathave you lackedwith me, that behold,you are seekingto goto your own country?"And he answered,"Nothing;neverthelessyou must surelyletme go."
Then Davidsleptwith his fathersand was buriedin the cityof David.
Then Benaiahthe sonof Jehoiadawentup and fellupon him and puthim to death,and he was buriedat his own housein the wilderness.
Now the LORDsaidto Mosesin Midian,"Gobackto Egypt,for allthe menwho were seekingyour lifeare dead."
"Getup, takethe Childand His mother,and gointo the landof Israel;for thosewho soughtthe Child'slifeare dead."
She said,"According to your words,sobe it." So she sentthem away,and they departed;and she tiedthe scarletcordin the window.
And they aroseearly;and at daybreakSamuelcalledto Saulon the roof,saying,"Getup, that I may sendyou away."So Saularose,and bothhe and Samuelwentout into the street.
