May it neverbe! Howshall we whodiedto sinstilllivein it?
For the fleshsets its desireagainstthe Spirit,and the Spiritagainstthe flesh;for theseare in oppositionto one another,sothat you may not dothe things that you please.
in the hopeof eternallife,whichGod,who cannot lie,promisedlong agesago,
for you have been born againnot of seedwhich is perishablebut imperishable,[that is], throughthe livingand enduringwordof God.
Ifyou knowthat He is righteous,you knowthat everyonealsowho practicesrighteousnessis bornof Him.
Noonewho abidesin Him sins;noonewho sinshas seenHim orknowsHim.
Beloved,let us loveone another,for loveis from God;and everyonewho lovesis bornof Godand knowsGod.
Whoeverbelievesthat Jesusis the Christis bornof God,and whoeverlovesthe Fatherlovesthe [child] bornof Him.
We knowthat noonewho is bornof Godsins;but He who was bornof Godkeepshim, and the evil onedoes not touchhim.
For whateveris bornof Godovercomesthe world;and thisis the victorythat has overcomethe world--our faith.
Beloved,do not imitatewhat is evil,but what is good.The one who does goodis of God;the one who does evilhas not seenGod.
