"Is not thisthe carpenter,the sonof Mary,and brotherof Jamesand Josesand Judasand Simon?Are not His sistersherewith us?" And they took offenseat Him.

And it was reportedto Him, "Your motherand Your brothersare standingoutside,wishingto seeYou."
He broughthim to Jesus.Jesuslookedat him and said,"You are Simonthe sonof John;you shall be calledCephas"(whichis translatedPeter).
AfterthisHe went downto Capernaum,He and His motherand [His] brothersand His disciples;and they stayedtherea fewdays.
Theseallwith one mindwere continually devoting themselvesto prayer,alongwith [the] women,and Marythe motherof Jesus,and with His brothers.

Yetifthe unbelieving oneleaves,let him leave;the brotherorthe sisteris not under bondagein such[cases], but Godhas calledus to peace.
A wifeis boundas longas her husbandlives;but ifher husbandis dead,she is freeto be marriedto whomshe wishes,onlyin the Lord.
YetI wishthat allmenwere evenas I myselfam. However,each manhashis owngiftfrom God,onein thismanner,and anotherin that.
But I sayto the unmarriedand to widowsthat it is goodfor them ifthey remainevenas I.
But I did not seeany otherof the apostlesexceptJames,the Lord'sbrother.
An overseer,then,mustbe above reproach,the husbandof onewife,temperate,prudent,respectable,hospitable,able to teach,
[men] who forbidmarriage[and advocate] abstainingfrom foodswhichGodhas createdto be gratefullysharedin by thosewho believeand knowthe truth.
the older womenas mothers,[and] the youngerwomenas sisters,in allpurity.
[namely], ifany manis above reproach,the husbandof onewife,havingchildrenwho believe,not accusedof dissipationorrebellion.
Marriage[is to be held] in honoramongall,and the [marriage] bed[is to be] undefiled;for fornicatorsand adulterersGodwill judge.
