But he said,"Farbe it from me to dothis.The manin whosepossessionthe cuphas been found,he shall be my slave;but as for you, goup in peaceto your father."
"He will comeand destroythesevine-growersand will givethe vineyardto others."Whenthey heardit, they said,"May it neverbe!"
sowe, who are many,are onebodyin Christ,and individuallymembersoneof another.
Do we thennullifythe Lawthroughfaith?May it neverbe! On the contrary,we establishthe Law.
May it neverbe! For otherwise,howwill Godjudgethe world?
Whatthen?Shall we sinbecausewe are not underlawbut undergrace?May it neverbe!
May it neverbe! Howshall we whodiedto sinstilllivein it?
Thereforedid that whichis goodbecome[a cause] [of] deathfor me? May it neverbe! Ratherit was sin,in orderthat it might be shownto be sinby effectingmy deaththroughthat which is good,sothat throughthe commandmentsinwould becomeutterlysinful.
Whatshall we saythen?Is the Lawsin?May it neverbe! On the contrary,I would not have come to knowsinexceptthroughthe Law;for I would not have known aboutcovetingifthe Lawhad not said,"YOU SHALL NOT COVET."
But I wantyou to understandthat Christis the headof everyman,and the manis the headof a woman,and Godis the headof Christ.
Nowyou are Christ'sbody,and individuallymembersof it.
Foodis for the stomachand the stomachis for food,but Godwill do awaywith bothof them. Yetthe bodyis not for immorality,but for the Lord,and the Lordis for the body.
But the one who joinshimself to the Lordis onespirit[with Him].
Ordo you not knowthat your bodyis a templeof the HolySpiritwho is in you, whomyou havefrom God,and that you are not your own?
Do you not knowthat we will judgeangels?How much morematters of this life?
"But if,while seekingto be justifiedin Christ,we ourselveshave alsobeen foundsinners,is Christthena ministerof sin?May it neverbe!
Is the Lawthencontraryto the promisesof God?May it neverbe! For ifa lawhad been givenwhich was ableto impart life,then righteousnesswould indeedhave beenbasedon law.
But may it neverbe that I would boast,exceptin the crossof our LordJesusChrist,throughwhichthe worldhas been crucifiedto me, and I to the world.
for the equippingof the saintsfor the workof service,to the buildingup of the bodyof Christ;
For the husbandis the headof the wife,as Christalsois the headof the church,He Himself[being] the Saviorof the body.
becausewe are membersof His body.
and not holding fastto the head,from whomthe entirebody,being suppliedand held togetherby the jointsand ligaments,growswith a growthwhich is from God.
