sothat I may cometo you in joyby the willof Godand find [refreshing] restin your company.
Ifanyoneis hungry,let him eatat home,sothat you will not come togetherfor judgment.The remainingmatters I will arrangewhenI come.
NowI wishthat you allspokein tongues,but [even] morethat you would prophesy;and greateris one who prophesiesthanone who speaksin tongues,unlesshe interprets,sothat the churchmay receiveedifying.

Nowthese things,brethren,I have figuratively appliedto myselfand Apollosfor your sakes,sothat in us you may learnnot to exceedwhatis written,sothat nooneof you will become arrogantin behalfof oneagainstthe other.
But I callGodas witnessto my soul,that to spareyou I did not comeagainto Corinth.
for I do not wish to seemas ifI would terrifyyou by my letters.
And thiswe will do,ifGodpermits.
Instead,[you ought] to say,"Ifthe Lordwills,we will liveand alsodothisorthat."
