To the churchof Godwhich is at Corinth,to those who have been sanctifiedin ChristJesus,saintsby calling,with allwho in everyplacecallon the nameof our LordJesusChrist,their [Lord] and ours:
Sincethere is onebread,we who are manyare onebody;for we allpartakeof the onebread.
For evenas the bodyis oneand [yet] hasmanymembers,and allthe membersof the body,though they are many,are onebody,soalsois Christ.
And ifonemembersuffers,allthe memberssufferwith it; if[one] memberis honored,allthe membersrejoicewith it.
Do you not knowthat your bodiesare membersof Christ?Shall I thentake awaythe membersof Christand makethem membersof a prostitute?May it neverbe!
whichis His body,the fullnessof Him who fillsallin all.
for the equippingof the saintsfor the workof service,to the buildingup of the bodyof Christ;
For the husbandis the headof the wife,as Christalsois the headof the church,He Himself[being] the Saviorof the body.
becausewe are membersof His body.
He is alsoheadof the body,the church;and He is the beginning,the firstbornfrom the dead,sothat He Himselfwill cometo have first placein everything.
NowI rejoicein my sufferingsfor your sake,and in my fleshI do my shareon behalfof His body,whichis the church,in fillingup whatis lackingin Christ'safflictions.
and not holding fastto the head,from whomthe entirebody,being suppliedand held togetherby the jointsand ligaments,growswith a growthwhich is from God.
