Their relativesin their villages[were] to comein every sevendaysfrom timeto time[to be] with them;
He commandedthem, saying,"Thisis the thingthat you shall do:one thirdof you, who comein on the sabbathand keepwatchover the king'shouse
"Twopartsof you, [even] allwho goout on the sabbath,shall also keepwatchover the houseof the LORDfor the king.
Thesewere their officesfor their ministrywhen [they] camein to the houseof the LORDaccording to the ordinance[given] to them throughAarontheir father,justas the LORDGodof Israelhad commandedhim.
The gatekeeperswere on the foursides,to the east,west,northand south.
for the fourchiefgatekeeperswho[were] Levites,were in an office of trust,and were overthe chambersand overthe treasuriesin the houseof God.
"Thisis the thingwhichyou shall do:one thirdof you, of the priestsand Leviteswho comein on the sabbath,[shall be] gatekeepers,
So the Levitesand allJudahdidaccording to allthat Jehoiadathe priestcommanded.And eachoneof them tookhis menwho were to comein on the sabbath,with those who were to goout on the sabbath,for Jehoiadathe priestdid not dismiss[any of] the divisions.
