My eye also is dim because of sorrow, and all my members are like a shadow.

so I have been assigned months of futility, and nights of trouble have been appointed to me.

When I kept silent, my body wasted away through my groaning all day long.

My heart throbs, my strength fails me; as for the light of my eyes, it also has gone from me.

Those who hate me without cause are more than the hairs of my head; they are mighty who would destroy me, being my enemies wrongfully; what I did not steal, I must now restore.

my eyes grow dim from affliction. Lord, I have called daily upon You; I have stretched out my hands to You.

You said, “Alas, woe is me! For the Lord has added grief to my sorrow. I fainted in my sighing, and I find no rest.”
