Jeremiah, I will never break my agreement with the day and the night or let the sky and the earth stop obeying my commands.

Then God put these lights in the sky to shine on the earth,

As long as the earth remains, there will be planting and harvest, cold and heat; winter and summer, day and night.

You created the moon to tell us the seasons. The sun knows when to set,

All things are your servants, and the laws you made are still in effect today.

He made them to last for ever, and nothing can change what he has done.

I, the LORD, have an agreement with day and night, so they always come at the right time. You can't break the agreement I made with them,
