And He said to them, "Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions."


But when he heard this, he became very sad, for he was extremely rich.


For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, without regret; but worldly sorrow produces death.


For this you know, that no fornicator, or unclean person, nor covetous person, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.


For Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world, and traveled to Thessalonica-Crescens to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia.
