Then the high priest tore his clothes, saying, "He has blasphemed! What further need do we have of witnesses? Look, now you have heard His blasphemy!


And at once some of the scribes said among themselves, "This Man blasphemes!"


Therefore produce fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say among yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham out of these stones.


Now it happened on a certain day that He was teaching, and Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there[,] who had come out of every village of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was [present] to heal them.


But when Jesus perceived their reasonings, He answered and said to them, "Why are you reasoning in your hearts?


And those who were reclining at the table with Him began to say within themselves, "Who is this who even forgives sins?"


The Jews answered Him, saying, "For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God."


Who shall bring an accusation against God's elect? It is God who justifies.
