And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, so that He may abide with you forever,


If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what ever you may desire, and it shall be done for you.


Now this I do for the sake of the gospel, in order that I may become a partaker of it [with you].


For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus' sake.


Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.


taking recollection of the genuine faith [that is] in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also.


Therefore I shall not neglect to constantly remind you concerning these things, although you know and have been established in the present truth.


If we claim that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us.


I wrote to you, fathers, because you have come to know Him[ who is] from the beginning. I wrote to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil [one].


And the world is passing away, and its lust; but he who does the will of God abides forever.
