4 Give me understanding, and I will search thy law ; and I will keep it with my whole heart.


Lord, what is man, that thou art made known to him? or the son of man, that thou makest account of him?


Give them according to their works, and according to the wickedness of their inventions. According to the works of their hands give thou to them: render to them their reward.


Conduct me, O Lord, in thy justice: because of my enemies, direct my way in thy sight.


And my soul is troubled exceedingly: but thou, O Lord, how long?

6 For how shall we be able to know, I and thy people, that we have found grace in thy sight, unless thou walk with us, that we may be glorified by all people that dwell upon the earth?


7 When he prepared the heavens, I was present: when with a certain law and compass he enclosed the depths:


1 The lofty eyes of man are humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be made to stoop: and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.


4 We have heard the fame thereof, our hands grow feeble: anguish hath taken hold of us, as a woman in labor.
