But after that he heard the words of the sons of Laban, saying: Jacob hath taken away all that was our father's, and being enriched by his substance is become great:


1 And the angel of God said to me in my sleep: Jacob? And I answered: Here I am.


7 Then Jacob rose up, and having set his children and wives upon camels, went his way.


0 For after that time came of the ewes conceiving, I lifted up my eyes, and saw in my sleep that the males which leaped upon the females were of diverse colors, and spotted, and speckled.


4 Two hundred she goats, twenty he goats, two hundred ewes, and twenty rams,


6 And he sent them by the hands of his servants, every drove by itself, and he said to his servants: Go before me, and let there be a space between drove and drove.


2 And said: Let us go on together, and I will accompany thee in thy journey.


2 And take with you double money, and carry back what you found in your sacks, lest perhaps it was done by mistake.


And the Lord said to him: Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a simple and upright man, and fearing God, and avoiding evil?


But his will is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he shall meditate day and night.


5 He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, both are abominable before God.


Thou shalt know therefore this day that the Lord thy God himself will pass over before thee, a devouring and consuming fire, to destroy and extirpate and bring them to nothing before thy face quickly, as he hath spoken to thee.


I heard that thy shepherds that were with us in the desert were shearing: we never molested them, neither was there ought missing to them of the flock at any time, all the while they were with us in Carmel.
