He also made shrines on the high places and appointed priests from among the people, who were not sons of Levi.
But I said, “Should a man like me flee? Who in my position could go into the Temple and live? I will not go in.”

Those camping in front of the Tent of Meeting, on the east, toward the sunrise, were Moses, Aaron, and his sons. They were to care for the Sanctuary on behalf of Bnei-Yisrael. But anyone unauthorized who approached had to be executed.
So then you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household.
