then there must be an oath before Adonai between the two of them, to determine whether or not he has laid his hand on his neighbor’s goods. The owner is to accept it with no restitution.


Work is to be done for six days, but on the seventh day is a Shabbat of complete rest, holy to Adonai. Whoever does any work on the Shabbat will surely be put to death.

But when the Pharisees saw this, they said to Him, “Look, Your disciples are doing what is not permitted on Shabbat.”


“Why do Your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not do the ritual handwashing when they eat bread.”


The Pharisees were saying to Him, “Look, why are they doing what is not permitted on Shabbat?”


But they said to Him, “John’s disciples often fast and offer prayers, as do the disciples of the Pharisees. But Your disciples are eating and drinking.”


Because Yeshua was doing these things on Shabbat, the Judean leaders started persecuting Him.
