Then Dawiḏ spoke to יהוה the words of this song, on the day when יהוה had delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Sha’ul.


You are my hiding place and my shield; I have waited for Your word.


Deliver me from my enemies, O יהוה; I take refuge in You.


The cords of She’ol were all around me; The snares of death were before me.


For in the day of evil He hides me in His booth; In the covering of His Tent He hides me; On a rock He raises me up.


In the secrecy of Your presence You shall hide them from the plots of man; You shelter them in a booth from the strife of tongues.


Many are the sorrows of the wrong; But as for the one trusting in יהוה, Loving-commitment surrounds him.


Then He put a new song in my mouth; Praise to our Elohim; Many do see it and fear, And trust in יהוה.


For You bless the righteous, O יהוה; You surround him with favour as with a shield.


Waw And יהוה is a refuge for the crushed one, A refuge in times of distress.


He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High, Who abides under the shadow of the Almighty,


Sing to יהוה a new song! For He has done wonders; His right hand and His set-apart arm Have brought Him deliverance.
