And Shallum son of Qorĕ, son of Eḇyasaph, son of Qoraḥ, and his brothers, from his father’s house, the Qorḥites, were over the work of the service, guards of the thresholds of the Tent. And their fathers had been guards of the entrance to the camp of יהוה.
As a deer longs for the water streams, So my being longs for You, O Elohim.
O Elohim, we have heard with our ears, Our fathers have related to us, The work You did in their days, In the days of old.
My heart is overflowing with a goodly word; I address my works to the Sovereign; My tongue is the pen of a speedy writer.
Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to Elohim with a voice of singing!
Great is יהוה, and greatly to be praised In the city of our Elohim, His set-apart mountain.
Ěl Elohim יהוה shall speak, And He shall call the earth From the rising of the sun to its going down.
And the sons of Qoraḥ: Assir, Elqanah, and Aḇiyasaph. These are the clans of the Qorḥites.
Then they moved away from around the tents of Qoraḥ, Dathan, and Aḇiram. And Dathan and Aḇiram came out and stood at the door of their tents, with their wives, and their sons, and their little children.
and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, with their households and all the men with Qoraḥ, with all their goods.
So they and all those with them went down alive into She’ol, and the earth closed over them, and they perished from the midst of the assembly.
and spoke to Qoraḥ and all his company, saying, “Tomorrow morning יהוה shall make known who is His and who is set-apart, and bring him near to Him. And let Him bring near to Him the one whom He chooses.
Sons of Shim‛on according to their clans: of Nemu’ĕl, the clan of the Nemu’ĕlites; of Yamin, the clan of the Yaminites; of Yaḵin, the clan of the Yaḵinites;
and what He had done to Dathan and Aḇiram the sons of Eliyaḇ, son of Re’uḇĕn, when the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, and their households, and their tents, and all the living creatures that were in their possession, in the midst of all Yisra’ĕl.
“Fathers are not put to death for their children, and children are not put to death for their fathers, each is to die for his own sin.
