And seeing some of His taught ones eat bread with defiled, that is, with unwashed hands, they found fault.


Then the Pharisees and scribes asked Him, “Why do Your taught ones not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands?”


And when the Pharisee saw it, he marvelled that He did not first wash before dinner.


And I progressed in Yehuḏaism beyond many of my age in my race, being more exceedingly ardent for the traditions of my fathers.


See to it that no one makes a prey of you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary matters of the world, and not according to Messiah.
