“You, then, hear the parable of the sower:


“When anyone hears the word of the reign, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is that sown by the wayside.


And He said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How then shall you understand all the parables?


“And those by the wayside are the ones who hear, then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, lest having believed, they should be saved.


Therefore put away all filthiness and overflow of evil, and receive with meekness the implanted Word, which is able to save your lives.
