And Aḇshalom did this to all Yisra’ĕl who came to the sovereign for right-ruling. And Aḇshalom stole the hearts of the men of Yisra’ĕl.


And all the people took note of it, and it was good in their eyes, since whatever the sovereign did was good in the eyes of all the people.


O יהוה, how my adversaries have increased! Many rising up against me.

And his mother’s brothers spoke all these words concerning him in the hearing of all the masters of Sheḵem. And their heart inclined toward Aḇimeleḵ, for they said, “He is our brother.”
