To my heart You have said, “Seek My face.” Your face, יהוה, I seek.


But I, I have put my trust in You, O יהוה ; I have said, “You are my Elohim.”


Whom do I have in the heavens? And I have desired no one besides You on earth.


O יהוה, our Master, how excellent is Your Name in all the earth, You who set Your splendour above the heavens!


“He calls out to Me, ‘You are my Father, My Ě


He is saying of יהוה, “My refuge and my stronghold, My Elohim, in whom I trust!”


O יהוה  our Elohim, other masters besides You have had rule over us; only in You do we make mention of Your Name.


“One says, ‘I belong to יהוה ; another calls himself by the name of Yaʽ


“And I shall bring the third into fire, and refine them as silver is refined, and try them as gold is tried. They shall call on My Name, and I shall answer them. I shall say, ‘This is My people,’ while they say, ‘יהוה  is my Elohim.’ ”


“So also you, when you have done all that you were commanded, say, ‘We are unworthy servants, we have done what was our duty to do.’ ”


And T’oma answered and said to Him, “My Master and my Elohim!”


“Or who first gave to Him, and it shall be given back to him?”
