And יהוה Elohim said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” And the woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”
“But only your blood for your lives I require, from the hand of every beast I require it, and from the hand of man. From the hand of every man’s brother I require the life of man.
Men groan in the city, and the beings of the wounded cry out, and Eloah does not regard it as foolish.
“You have done this, and I kept silent; You have thought that I was altogether like you – I rebuke you, and set it in order before your eyes.
He redeems their life from oppression and from violence; And their blood is precious in His eyes.
For He remembers the seekers of bloodshed, He does not forget the cry of the afflicted.
Show favour to me, O יהוה! See my affliction by those who hate me, You who lift me up from the gates of death,
And יהוה said, “I have indeed seen the oppression of My people who are in Mitsrayim, and have heard their cry because of their slave-drivers, for I know their sorrows.
‘And do not profane the land where you are, for blood profanes the land, and the land is not pardoned for the blood that is shed on it, except by the blood of him who shed it.
“When anyone is found slain, lying in the field in the land which יהוה your Elohim is giving you to possess, and it is not known who smote him,
and to יהושע the Mediatorof a new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling which speaks better than the blood of Heḇ
See, the wages of the workmen who mowed your fields, which you kept back, cry out. And the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of יהוה of hosts.
