And the servant of the man of Elohim rose early and went out, and saw an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, “Oh, my master! What do we do?”


Your compassions are many, O יהוה ; Revive me according to Your right-rulings.


But with You there is forgiveness, That You might be feared.


יהוה  is good to all, And He has compassion on all His works.


Show me favour, O Elohim, According to Your kindness; According to the greatness of Your compassion, Blot out my transgressions.


But You, O יהוה, Are a compassionate Ě


For You, יהוה, are good, and ready to forgive, And great in kindness to all those who call upon You.


The righteous regards the life of his beast, But the compassion of the wrong is cruelty.


“I was wroth with My people, I have profaned My inheritance and I gave them into your hand. You showed them no compassion, you made your yoke very heavy on the elderly.


Let the wrong forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to יהוה, who has compassion on him, and to our Elohim, for He pardons much.


“And I shall deliver you in that day,” declares יהוה, “so that you are not given into the hand of the men of whom you are afraid.


The kindnesses of יהוה! For we have not been consumed, For His compassions have not ended.


“To יהוה  our Elohim are the compassions and forgivenesses, for we have rebelled against Him.


And he prayed to יהוה, and he said, “Please, יהוה, was this not what I said while I was in my own land? This is why I went ahead and fled to Tarshish. For I know that You are an Ě


He shall turn back, He shall have compassion on us, He shall trample upon our crookednesses! And You throw all our sins into the depths of the sea!


“And I am very wroth with the nations who are at ease, for when I was a little wroth, they furthered the evil!”


“Now I Myself am troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this reason I came to this hour.
