“See, I am waiting in the desert plains of the wilderness until word comes from you to inform me.”

For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Yeshayahu, saying, “A voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way of יהוה, make His paths straight.’ ”
And the child grew and became strong in spirit, and was in the deserts until the day of showing Himself openly to Yisra’ĕ
