And Jehu said, Sanctify a solemn assembly for Baal. And they proclaimed it.
Behold, I send an angel before thee, to keep thee by the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.
And it came to pass on the way at the lodging place, that the LORD met him, and sought to kill him.
He hath bent his bow like an enemy, he hath stood with his right hand as an adversary, and hath slain all that were pleasant to the eye: in the tent of the daughter of Zion he hath poured out his fury like fire.
And the LORD said unto him, Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little while, and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu, and will cause the kingdom of the house of Israel to cease.
And the ass saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, with his sword drawn in his hand: and the ass turned aside out of the way, and went into the field: and Balaam smote the ass, to turn her into the way.
