Hear diligently my speech, And let my declaration be in your ears.


Hear now my reasoning, And hearken to the pleadings of my lips.


Are the consolations of God too small for thee, And the word that dealeth gently with thee?


I have heard many such things: Miserable comforters are ye all.


How long will ye lay snares for words? Consider, and afterwards we will speak.


Then Job answered and said,


Suffer me, and I also will speak; And after that I have spoken, mock on.


Howbeit, Job, I pray thee, hear my speech, And hearken to all my words.


Hear my words, ye wise men; And give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge.


Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.


Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things that were heard, lest haply we drift away from them.


And when they told it to Jotham, he went and stood in the top of mount Gerizim, and lifted up his voice, and cried, and said unto them, Hearken unto me, ye men of Shechem, that God may hearken unto you.
