Keep thy heart with all diligence; For out of it are the issues of life.


From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and festering sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with oil.


But the wicked are like the troubled sea; for it cannot rest, and its waters cast up mire and dirt.


Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.


For as often as I speak, I cry out; I cry, Violence and spoil: because the word of the LORD is made a reproach unto me, and a derision, all the day.


For thus saith the LORD, Thy hurt is incurable, and thy wound grievous.


There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines.


Why criest thou for thy hurt? thy pain is incurable: for the greatness of thine iniquity, because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee.


For this city hath been to me a provocation of mine anger and of my fury from the day that they built it even unto this day; that I should remove it from before my face:


Is there no balm in Gilead? is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?


whiles they see vanity unto thee, whiles they divine lies unto thee, to lay thee upon the necks of the wicked that are deadly wounded, whose day is come, in the time of the iniquity of the end.


For her blood is in the midst of her; she set it upon the bare rock; she poured it not upon the ground, to cover it with dust;


Thus saith the Lord GOD Let it suffice you, O princes of Israel: remove violence and spoil, and execute judgement and justice; take away your exactions from my people, saith the Lord GOD


Violence is risen up into a rod of wickedness; none of them shall remain, nor of their multitude, nor of their wealth: neither shall there be eminency among them.


Make the chain: for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence.


Woe to her that is rebellious and polluted, to the oppressing city!
