And it came to pass, as they journeyed east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.


Therefore was the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: and he shall deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our border.


And he said unto me, To build her an house in the land of Shinar: and when it is prepared, she shall be set there in her own place.
