Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I am come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I go forth, lo, the prince of Greece shall come.


And now will I shew thee the truth. Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than they all: and when he is waxed strong through his riches, he shall stir up all against the realm of Greece.


And a mighty king shall stand up, that shall rule with great dominion, and do according to his will.

The ram which thou sawest that had the two horns, they are the kings of Media and Persia.


And as for that which was broken, in the place whereof four stood up, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not with his power.


For I have bent Judah for me, I have filled the bow with Ephraim; and I will stir up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and will make thee as the sword of a mighty man.
