It stood still, but I could not discern its appearance. A form was before my eyes; there was silence, then I heard a voice:

Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over him who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!
But the Lord is in his holy temple; let all the earth keep silence before him.
Be silent, all flesh, before the Lord; for he has roused himself from his holy dwelling.
So they went and made the sepulchre secure by sealing the stone and setting a guard.
And I saw in the right hand of him who was seated on the throne a scroll written within and on the back, sealed with seven seals;
and they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy art thou to take the scroll and to open its seals, for thou wast slain and by thy blood didst ransom men for God from every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures say, as with a voice of thunder, “Come!”
When he opened the sixth seal, I looked, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth, the full moon became like blood,
When he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come!”
When he opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” And I saw, and behold, a black horse, and its rider had a balance in his hand;
When he opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come!”
When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the witness they had borne;
