But Jesus answered him, “Let it be so now; for thus it is fitting for us to fulfil all righteousness.” Then he consented.
“Strive to enter by the narrow door; for many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able.
“The law and the prophets were until John; since then the good news of the kingdom of God is preached, and every one enters it violently.
Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to eternal life, which the Son of man will give to you; for on him has God the Father set his seal.”
Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;
