In that day the deaf shall hear the words of a book, and out of their gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind shall see.


As they were going away, behold, a dumb demoniac was brought to him.


And they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? A new teaching! With authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him.”


And he rose, and immediately took up the pallet and went out before them all; so that they were all amazed and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!”


And they were filled with awe, and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even wind and sea obey him?”


And immediately the girl got up and walked (she was twelve years of age), and they were immediately overcome with amazement.


And he got into the boat with them and the wind ceased. And they were utterly astounded,


And he charged them to tell no one; but the more he charged them, the more zealously they proclaimed it.


In those days, when again a great crowd had gathered, and they had nothing to eat, he called his disciples to him, and said to them,


And we indeed justly; for we are receiving the due reward of our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.”


And when the crowds saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in Lycaonian, “The gods have come down to us in the likeness of men!”
