But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”

he is like a man building a house, who dug deep, and laid the foundation upon rock; and when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house, and could not shake it, because it had been well built.


And the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear the word, receive it with joy; but these have no root, they believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away.


And some fell into good soil and grew, and yielded a hundredfold.” As he said this, he called out, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”


My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me;


If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

and being made perfect he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him,


Whoever knows what is right to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.


Come to him, to that living stone, rejected by men but in God's sight chosen and precious;


Therefore, brethren, be the more zealous to confirm your call and election, for if you do this you will never fall;


If you know that he is righteous, you may be sure that every one who does right is born of him.


Little children, let no one deceive you. He who does right is righteous, as he is righteous.


Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates.
