I cry to thee and thou dost not answer me; I stand, and thou dost not heed me.


O my God, I cry by day, but thou dost not answer; and by night, but find no rest.


O Lord God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry with thy people's prayers?


“Thou hast wrapped thyself with anger and pursued us, slaying without pity;


thou hast wrapped thyself with a cloud so that no prayer can pass through.


O Lord, how long shall I cry for help, and thou wilt not hear? Or cry to thee “Violence!” and thou wilt not save?
