Who is like me? Let him proclaim it, let him declare and set it forth before me. Who has announced from of old the things to come? Let them tell us what is yet to be.


Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and shrewd in their own sight!


But where are your gods that you made for yourself? Let them arise, if they can save you, in your time of trouble; for as many as your cities are your gods, O Judah.


Will I not on that day, says the Lord, destroy the wise men out of Edom, and understanding out of Mount Esau?


For the scripture says to Pharaoh, “I have raised you up for the very purpose of showing my power in you, so that my name may be proclaimed in all the earth.”


Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?


Then Zebul said to him, “Where is your mouth now, you who said, ‘Who is Abimelech, that we should serve him?’ Are not these the men whom you despised? Go out now and fight with them.”
