Why do you hide your face and count me as your enemy?


How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?


For you are the God in whom I take refuge; why have you cast me off? Why must I walk about mournfully because of the oppression of the enemy?


Why do you hide your face? Why do you forget our affliction and oppression?


Yet you have rejected us and shamed us and have not gone out with our armies.


For you are not a God who delights in wickedness; evil will not sojourn with you.


Do not hide your face from your servant, for I am in distress—make haste to answer me.
