The mind of the king of Aram was greatly perturbed because of this; he called his officers and said to them, “Now tell me: Who among us is betraying us to the king of Israel?”


For he says: “Are not my commanders all kings?


What will one answer the messengers of the nation? “The Lord has founded Zion, and the needy among his people will find refuge in her.”


On that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: We have a strong city; he sets up walls and bulwarks as a safeguard.


In the days of Ahaz son of Jotham son of Uzziah, king of Judah, King Rezin of Aram and King Pekah son of Remaliah of Israel went up to attack Jerusalem but could not conquer it.


And the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed in its presence the signs by which he deceived those who had received the brand of the beast and those who worshiped its image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.
