Come and see what God has done: he is awesome in his deeds among mortals.
For the Lord God of hosts will make a full end, as decreed, in all the earth.
They will not hurt or destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.
He shall judge between the nations and shall arbitrate for many peoples; they shall beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation; neither shall they learn war any more.
Violence shall no more be heard in your land, devastation or destruction within your borders; you shall call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise.
I will strike your bow from your left hand and will make your arrows drop out of your right hand.
On that day, says the Lord, I will cut off your horses from among you and will destroy your chariots;
And the Lord said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid of them, for tomorrow at this time I will hand over all of them, slain, to Israel; you shall hamstring their horses and burn their chariots with fire.”
And Joshua did to them as the Lord had commanded him; he hamstrung their horses and burned their chariots with fire.
