My friends scorn me; my eye pours out tears to God,


Turn away the disgrace that I dread, for your ordinances are good.


Then I shall have an answer for those who taunt me, for I trust in your word.


Trust in the Lord and do good; live in the land and enjoy security.


He will make your vindication shine like the light and the justice of your cause like the noonday.


Deliver me from all my transgressions. Do not make me the scorn of the fool.


As with a deadly wound in my body, my adversaries taunt me, while they say to me continually, “Where is your God?”


Let us then go to him outside the camp and bear the abuse he endured.
