“Brothers and fathers, listen to the defense that I now make before you.”
Agrippa said to Paul, “You have permission to speak for yourself.” Then Paul stretched out his hand and began to defend himself:
While he was making this defense, Festus exclaimed, “You are out of your mind, Paul! Too much learning is driving you insane!”
while for those who are self-seeking and who obey not the truth but injustice, there will be wrath and fury.
What does it matter? Just this, that Christ is proclaimed in every way, whether out of false motives or true, and in that I rejoice. Yes, and I will rejoice,
It is right for me to think this way about all of you, because I hold you in my heart, for all of you are my partners in God’s grace, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel.
Do nothing from selfish ambition or empty conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves.
