Just then a Canaanite woman from that region came out and started shouting, “Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David; my daughter is tormented by a demon.”
The crowds that went ahead of him and that followed were shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heaven!”
Now when Jesus had finished saying these words, the crowds were astounded at his teaching,
As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, crying loudly, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!”
And when the demon had been cast out, the one who had been mute spoke, and the crowds were amazed and said, “Never has anything like this been seen in Israel.”
“Come and see a man who told me everything I have ever done! He cannot be the Messiah, can he?”
