When they had finished distributing the several territories of the land as inheritances, the Israelites gave an inheritance among them to Joshua son of Nun.


By command of the Lord they gave him the town that he asked for, Timnath-serah in the hill country of Ephraim; he rebuilt the town and settled in it.


After these things Joshua son of Nun, the servant of the Lord, died, being one hundred ten years old.


They buried him in his own inheritance at Timnath-serah, which is in the hill country of Ephraim, north of Mount Gaash.


After the death of Joshua, the Israelites inquired of the Lord, “Who shall go up first for us against the Canaanites, to fight against them?”


Joshua son of Nun, the servant of the Lord, died at the age of one hundred ten years.
