Now when Job’s three friends heard of all these troubles that had come upon him, each of them set out from his home—Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite. They met together to go and console and comfort him.


Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered:


I am not at ease, nor am I quiet; I have no rest, but trouble comes.”


“If one ventures a word with you, will you be offended? But who can keep from speaking?


So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went and did what the Lord had told them, and the Lord accepted Job’s prayer.


Then Bildad the Shuhite answered:


Concerning Edom. Thus says the Lord of hosts: Is there no longer wisdom in Teman? Has counsel perished from the prudent? Has their wisdom vanished?
